Call for projects in the Eume region
With the support of The MOP Foundation, RIA is launching a call for action-oriented projects that contribute to the conservation, local development and sustainable management of the Fragas do Eume Natural Park and its surrounding area. Selected applicants may receive technical guidance, financial support and communications support.
Since 2025, RIA has been developing a process of strategic planning and dialogue in the Fragas do Eume, with the aim of contributing to the active conservation of the Natural Park and strengthening its relationship with the wider area. Working closely with public administrations, local stakeholders, the productive sector and the scientific community, the project seeks to build areas of consensus that can help define pilot actions geared towards sustainable development.
Within this process, the call aims to facilitate the launch or development of action-oriented projects capable of generating a positive, sustainable and lasting impact in the Fragas do Eume area, including the municipalities of Cabanas, A Capela, Monfero, Pontedeume and As Pontes de García Rodríguez.
The call is open to individuals, companies, cooperatives, foundations, associations and local development groups, including GDRs and GALPs, common land communities, educational and training centres, universities, technology and research centres, and public administrations. Applications may also be submitted by partnerships comprising different types of eligible organisations listed above.
Proposals must fall within one or more of the following categories: architecture and mobility; economic activity and production; outreach, education and participation; or other types of projects that clearly align with the objectives of the call.
Three forms of support will be available, with an estimated duration of between three and six months:
– Technical support, providing tailored guidance to facilitate project development and explore new funding opportunities.
– Communications support, aimed at improving dissemination and visibility through the production of content and audiovisual materials, as well as media relations.
– Financial support, with a total budget of €15,000 to support up to five initiatives. Each project will receive a minimum of €3,000.
Applications will be assessed by a jury comprising Lucía Escrigas Rodríguez and Manuel Rodríguez López, from Fundación RIA; Cristina García Fontán, PhD in Architecture, lecturer at ETSAC and member of AGAU; Quico Ónega, researcher at USC’s LaboraTe; and Alfonso Ribas Álvarez, from Fundación Juana de Vega.
Applications may be submitted until 15 October 2026 at 14:00 and must be sent digitally through the following form, together with the documents specified in the call guidelines. Until 8 October, enquiries may be sent to consultas@fundacionria.org, with “Convocatoria proxectos Eume” in the subject line.
