The Barbanza Ecosocial Lab receives 2 million euros from European funds
The Barbanza Ecosocial Lab receives a 2 million euro impulse for the sustainable management of the territory with local communities, after being selected in the call for forest bioeconomy projects of Fundación Biodiversidad from the Ministerio para la Transición Ecológica y el Reto Demográfico (Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge – MITECO).
Taking the previous work of the Barbanza Ecosocial Lab of the last four years as a starting point, the proposal selected by the call for grants for the promotion of the forest bioeconomy of the Fundación Biodiversidad from the Ministerio para la Transición Ecológica y el Reto Demográfico (Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge – MITECO) is the result of the joint work of Fundación RIA, Plataforma pola Defensa do Monte, the CMVMC of Baroña, Universidade de Santiago (CISPAC and groups HISTAGRA and UXAFORES), Universidad Pablo de Olavide de Sevilla, Fundación Montescola and Concello de Rianxo, who join forces to launch this transformative project.
This project is supported by Fundación Biodiversidad of the Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITECO) in the framework of the Plan de Recuperación, Transformación y Resiliencia (Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan – PRTR), funded by the European Union.
