The travelling exhibition on A Panda da Dá comes to an end
The exhibition on A Panda da Dá, which was hosted by Casa RIA between May and June, travelled to several Finsa plants throughout the peninsula in the following months, sharing the process with the timber company’s staff.
In 2024, RIA and Finsa promoted an international competition for ideas for the future of A Panda da Dá based on a joint planning process, with the aim of consolidating this 410-hectare site in As Pontes de García Rodríguez as a space of opportunities for sustainable management of the territory.
An exhibition at Casa RIA showcased the fruits of this process, analysing the site’s more than 30-year history and demonstrating how timber production can generate added value and help to care for the territory.
After the exhibition ended at the foundation’s headquarters in Santiago de Compostela, it travelled to various Finsa plants and was complemented by a series of workshops aimed at its staff.
In these sessions, the RIA team shared the planning process and the call for entries for the competition, while the winning architecture studios presented the new project for the site, incorporating the staff’s proposals.
