UIC students begin their academic projects in the ría de Arousa

24 September 2024

Last week, 40 students from the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya visited the Arousa estuary guided by Fundación RIA, as part of a broader academic agreement with the organization.

During their field day, the students toured different sites selected by the foundation, which they visited with local agents who shared with them the knowledge and needs of each place. The locations focused on three areas: coastal zones and ports; urban centers; and industrial estates and mountains.

This experience allows them to better understand the environment where they will decide the locations and strategies for their projects for the next semester, which will be developed according to the needs of the chosen location.

The following day, at Casa RIA, the foundation’s new headquarters in Santiago, a work session was held in which the students were accompanied in processing the information gathered during the visits and exploring the first approaches for their future projects.
