Small-scale food initiatives depend, to a large degree, on the ability to build relationships and networks. Sharing infrastructure, resources and knowledge, facilitating access to markets or coordinating different stages of the supply chain can open up new possibilities for producing and processing food at a local level.
In this context, Carme Freire, from Asociación Darredor, and Adrián Gallero, from the Daniel and Nina Carasso Foundation, will share their experiences regarding the development of food systems connected to the territory.
The discussion will address the conditions needed to strengthen these networks: the creation of collaborative structures, access to shared infrastructure and resources, coordination between producers and other stakeholders, and the development of governance models capable of generating value and sustaining economic activity in the territory.
The experience of Daquí Darredor, a project supported by the Daniel and Nina Carasso Foundation through KmTierra, will also provide an opportunity to reflect on the role of facilitating entities and on the possibilities for connecting local initiatives within a global food market.
